Kingsway City officially launches the NEW Containers for Change Self-Serve Kiosk, located near Goodlife.

This Kiosk is the first of its kind in WA being located within a Shopping Centre complex.

Customers will now be able to return 10c containers and receive a voucher for Woolworths. For those that prefer to get their refund digitally, they can sign up for a Containers for Change member number and receive their refund directly into their bank account or opt to donate to a registered charity.

The Self-serve Kiosks have been established to improve access and convenience of Containers for Change for all Western Australians, by creating new opportunities to return 10¢ containers that align with the local communities’ every day or weekly routines. 

At the official launch at the Centre, the Minister for Environment Reece Whitby stated:

“We knew we needed to create ways to return containers that are convenient and accessible.

“Western Australians can now simply pack their containers along with their shopping bags and make a return while doing their weekly shop.

“This initiative will bring in a substantial number of containers into the scheme that may have otherwise gone to landfill.”
